Just That Time of Year

What started off as just a runny nose on Saturday morning, proved to be a little more serious than "just a runny nose". After a visit to the pediatrician yesterday, we learned that Eliza has RSV - which is basically a lower respiratory infection. It is very common in infants but can become very serious. After checking out her lungs, her pediatrician decided that a steroid shot would do the best job at conquering her wheezing. The shot definitely helped but it sure did make her cranky. She spent the greater portion of the evening basically yelling at us. Stephen referred to her new attitude as "roid rage". The good news is she slept well, with very little coughing, ate all of her breakfast and was all smiles as we headed off to day care.

  1. Thanks for the Eliza update! Poor thing. I'm glad the steroids helped her =).

  2. Not funny that she's sick, but 'roid rage'? Priceless. I am so glad she's feeling better.
