Albert the Monkey

Eliza definitely has a favorite toy . . . .Albert the Monkey. Albert was given to Eliza by our sweet friend Tina. Eliza loved Albert immediately and her faces just lights up every time she sees him. Recently I have been letting Eliza take Albert to bed with her. (Albert is only allowed to stay in bed with her until she falls asleep and then I take him out.) Tonight when I went to get Albert, this is what I found . . . .

Is this not the most precious thing you have ever seen?

Kicked Back

This is Eliza's favorite sleeping position. . . . hands behind her head . . . . seeing her like this always makes me smile.

Eliza vs. Applesauce

We are trying to teach Eliza to use a spoon and feed herself . . . . it's not going that well . . .as she still seems to prefer her fingers over the spoon. Tonight she was covered from head to toe in applesauce. She seems to enjoy being independent and feeding herself, however I think she got more on her clothes than she did in her mouth but I know we will get there eventually.

Did You Miss Us?

I know it has been awhile since our last post but we have had so much going on. We are still trying to get all of our boxes unpacked and trying to make our new house feel like our home. Last week, Eliza picked up a lovely stomach virus from daycare which she was kind enough to share with both of her parents. I have gotten over it but Steve is still struggling to shake it. On top of that, Eliza also developed two MASSIVE ear infections. So needless to say, the past week has been a bit stressful - but things are definitely looking better.

This picture has nothing to do with the post . . . I just think it is cute.

Thank you Easter Bunny

Our Easter morning started out very dark and gloomy. We had some pretty intense rain storms this morning, but luckily once the storms were over we had a BEAUTIFUL sunny day. We didn't get to go to church this morning because Eliza is still getting over a stomach virus that she picked up from daycare, but we had a fantastic day at home.

The Eater Bunny left Eliza a basket of goodies and the cute bunny was an Easter present from Aunt Kristen, Uncle Richard and Jacob.
Eliza was excited to see what the Easter Bunny left for her in her basket.

Here she is modeling one of her new outfits.

Eliza is showing off her favorite treat. The Easter Bunny didn't leave any candy but he did leave multi colored goldfish. (crackers . . . . not real fish!)

Our day ended with Eliza's Grandma and Grandpa coming over for dinner. Steve grilled some yummy burgers and dogs and we enjoyed the great weather as we ate outside.
Hope all of you had a fantastic holiday!

We Love Our Backyard

We are not completely settled in to the new house yet, but we are settled enough that we have started to enjoy the perks of living in a house. . . . one in particular . . . . . our backyard.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, so while Steve grilled our dinner (on our brand new fancy dancy grill) Eliza and I had a little backyard play time.

Aunt Kristen, Uncle Richard and Jacob gave Eliza the ball pit for Christmas and it was extra fun having it outside. Eliza's new favorite game is to see how quickly she can throw all of the balls out on the ground. She throws them out and I put them back in. . . fun for all!

Worth the Wait

This is footage of Eliza eating - or rather destroying - her birthday cake. I am a little slow on getting it posted. Sorry about that.
